Vulcher...

I am posting these not because they are the world's best pictures (obviously) but because they give a little glimpse inside our almost 3 year old boy's world. Owen asked for some bird wings today. So, we made some. And then he played bird...you know, jumping off of everything, flapping his little hands back and forth as fast as he could, making screaching noises and vicious faces, etc (of course he couldn't have chosen to be a sweet fluttering hummingbird or something of that nature). It was adorable to watch. Although it's hard to face the reality of how quickly your children grow up, it's also an incredibly joyful blessing at the same time. And watching their imaginations develop is priceless!

It is rather bittersweet, isn't it? You don't want them to get any bigger, yet each stage is so much fun! (So far anyway, we'll see about those teen years!) Happy Mama's Day Jen!

He does look very fierce! Really, who would want to be a hummingbird (or a butterfly, maybe?) anyway???
