Baby teeth and other such milestones...
I might be slightly in denial about this, but my baby got his first tooth this weekend at the whopping age of 4.5 months! That is so not ok with me. He is my last baby, after all, so why does he have to grow up earlier than most babies??? Oh, and also, he started blowing spit bubbles this week (see below), started talking and squealing, decided grabbing his feet is his favorite hobby, and seems to have taken to all sorts of other baby shenanigans that make his seem way too old. There's not really much newborn left in him. And although it makes me super emotional to think of how quickly he is growing, it is also so incredibly sweet to see his personality emerge. He is quite possibly the world's sweetest, most easy going baby. We all adore him to pieces and every day his brothers seem to enjoy playing with him more! My sweet Ezra baby sure does bring a lot of joy to our home!

Sons of Thunder...

This past weekend, C.J. and Owen got to spend a few days, just the two of them, at a father/son retreat in Oregon. And let me just say, it made me so emotional to see them absolutely beaming when they returned! My boys are so blessed to have the Daddy that God gave them! I should really let C.J. write about the retreat, but he's been pretty busy lately so you will have to settle with my second hand version. The weekend was full of fun, masculine activities: an obstacle course, fishing, canoeing, catching salamanders, swimming in the lake, sliding into the lake off of a giant inflatable slide, playing a trust blindfold game, making walking sticks, etc. They also managed a trip to a board game shop in Portland on the way. I'm pretty sure C.J. said that Owen didn't eat a single vegetable all weekend. Add that to a few days of spending alone time with your Daddy doing some pretty fun stuff and it makes for one awesome, rejuvenating weekend. Next year Silas will be old enough to go, too, so you better believe this will become an annual event in our house!

Ninja Warriors...
One of the boys' favorite things to do on a summer evening is watch American Ninja Warrior. For those of you who haven't seen it, it's basically incredibly strong people attempting crazy obstacle courses and other insane strength moves (i.e. one armed pull ups, climbing rock walls with only their pinkies, etc). Watching it inevitably leads to our house turning into a huge jungle gym. Silas only watches the program for a few minutes before he gets up off the chair to do box jumps on the coffee table, pull ups on the banister, or any other unusual trick he can come up with. Today, he decided to climb the side of the door jamb and was surprisingly good at it! After seeing his little brother succeed at such a challenging feat, Owen joined in the fun. Meanwhile, the littlest brother just watched from the sidelines and enjoyed an occasional snuggle:
