Everyday Moments...

Everyday Moments...

Rainbow...

Last night on the way to basketball practice, Owen and I saw an absolutely breathtaking rainbow!  We pulled off to the side of the road and I tried desperately to get a picture of the whole thing, but it wouldn't fit into my phone camera frame.  Now that I'm thinking about it, I probably could have tried using the panorama shot thingy that my camera offers.  Hmm.  Maybe next time.  Anyway, I love this boy so much and cherish the chances I get to spend time alone with him... especially when they include witnessing God's little miracles!

Ezra's First Year...

On Sunday our sweet, brand new baby will turn one. What!?!? I don't even have words.  These precious moments are so fleeting and I wish there was something I could do to change that.  But since I can't, I'll just treasure the memories the best that I can.  Sometimes a little slide show helps me do that.  But then, really, I just cry.  Enjoy!

when you're the third child...

your mom lets you have your very own cookie before you have even turned one.  It pays to be the youngest!

Backyard Bubbles...

Silas has been talking about some "backyard bubbles" he made with Henry and Lincoln when he was last in Seattle.  Today, he decided to make some here:

Quotes from Silas way back when...

Tonight as I was snuggling Silas, we got to laughing about a few things he used to say when he was a little boy.  I realized that I had never documented them here on the blog and decided I should probably do so.  Otherwise, they would likely get forgotten over time.  And as his Mama, these are a few that I never want to forget.  Better late than never!

When the bath toy holder fell down:  "Oh no! Soggy sall down!"
Translation: "Oh no!  Froggy fell down!"

When he ran into the house proudly showing off a lizard he caught: "Yook, Mom!  A yizard!"

Sunflower seeds:  "Saucey birds"

Screw driver: "Die-bo"  The kid has loved tools since before he could even talk!

His go-to story he told repeatedly: "Once upon a time, a little boy walking down the street.  Sall down.  The end."
