First of all, I can't even describe how excited I am about this:
(by the way, in case any of you didn't know, this is my sister, Allison's, blog)

Secondly, I've been thinking about giving a house update, but we're so close to being done that I think it might just be best to wait until it IS done to post pictures. I guess I can say that we supposedly are about 6 weeks from moving!!! They are working on the flooring, trim, cabinets, decking, etc. right now. It's been super fun to see a few of the finishing touches start to come together, however it makes it extremely hard to wait. Also, I have finally begun to give the yard some thought, and let me just say that it is quite overwhelming. My (our) goal is to get the grass, trees, a hedge of roses, and a hedge of boxwoods in this summer. We'll see how successful that endeavor is with 2 little boys. I just want to get a few of the basics started so that we can have a little bit of substance in the yard as soon as possible....because as it is right now, the house looks QUITE lonely. Anyhow, I'll keep you posted.
Cheers!

Here, have a picture....or 50
Ummm, I kinda went photo crazy today. But how can you blame me? I had a wonderfully sunny morning alone with Silas and jumped at the chance to have his first little photo shoot. I mean, to actually TRY to take a few good shots (unlike the other random times that I have just whipped out my camera for a few seconds). And the result: about a million pictures that I absolutely adore...mostly because I love the little guy to death. So for those of you who have been wanting a closer look at our baby boy, this ought to suffice. Enjoy!

Just as a side note, these next few are his first smiles ever caught on camera:

P.S. I REALLY wish I knew how to format the pictures so that some of them could be side by side. Anybody wanna tell me how?

A letter...
Dear Mr. Sunshine,
Please, please, please return to the valley soon. We desperately need you!
Thanks,

I'm too tired to think of a title...
But you get an update anyway. Or maybe I should say you get some pictures. So until I muster up the mental energy to actually write something that makes sense, you can feast upon these:
Silas in the sling today:

Owen enjoying the out of doors:

I don't even remember when I took these, but it was at least a few days ago:

P.S. Aside from being more tired than I ever thought possible, we are doing really well. I loved being a mother of one child, but being a mother of two children is even more incredible. It's a blessing that I can't describe to have another little one to love, and it's soooo sweet to see my children have a sibling. Maybe one of these days I'll actually get 3 solid hours of sleep at night and then you might get something a little more thought filled and eloquent!
P.P.S. (or is it P.S.S.?) I actually cut some quince branches to force bloom yesterday and made dinner 2 nights in a row. That might not seem like much, but to me it's refreshing...makes me feel like I'm slowly getting the hang of having two. Baby steps, right?
