My college girls...

This weekend we had the awesome privilege and treat of having my college girlfriends at our house. Although not all of them were here, it was so incredibly wonderful to see the 5 that did come. The friendships we developed throughout our 4 years of living together in college are friendships that I will always cherish, no matter how much time goes by. Girls, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed our visit. I love you all and miss you, but truly cherish the times I get to see you.

In addition to just getting together for a much needed visit, one of the reasons for our gathering was to celebrate my dear friend Marla, her husband Ryan, and their sweet little girl on the way. I didn't take very many pictures over the weekend, but I did get a few of the beautiful Mama-to-be and her shower. Marla, Becky, Kate, Brie, and Carly, thank you SO much for coming. I thoroughly enjoyed having you here.

Also, huge shout out to Ryan for being such a good sport and entertaining Owen most of the weekend. Owen now has a new best friend, and to be honest I can't blame him. Ryan seems like a lot of fun....playing Legos, hiding pirate treasure, etc. Thanks Ryan! It was good to see you, too!

When you forget the wipes...

This is what happens when you feed your child a hot dog with ketchup for lunch at Costco and then let him play unsupervised in the dirt while you unload the groceries:

Sunday Afternoon Adventure...

First of all, sorry for the blog slacking lately. There just hasn't been much to blog about, I guess (unless of course you're interested in our stories of vomiting, coughing, being glued to the toilet, etc.) But since I thought it might be better to spare you those wonderful details of our lives, I haven't updated the blog in a while. Today, however, we actually ventured out and took the boys on a trek to Fort Simcoe...an outing we all thoroughly enjoyed (even though Owen is a bit under the weather.) Here are a few shots from our day:

The Labbee Offspring...

You know that link I have to the right that says "The Labbee Offspring?" Well, my amazingly talented brother recently revamped the site and updated it. It would definitely be worth your while to check it out (that is, if you're interested in my extended family). It's no ordinary website. And you'll especially love it if you happen to be a family member. So go ahead, check it out:

www.labbees.net

And just in case you weren't tempted by the link above, watch this video:

I was going to suggest that you watch a few more videos from the website, but then remembered that some of them are password protected. To see other fun stuff, just take your cursor to the bottom of the page and a menu will pop up. Enjoy!

P.S. Thanks SO much Ryke. This will definitely be fun for all of us (including the kids) to have through the years!

Goat Heads...

Today we took a Sunday afternoon drive out to my uncle's property to see his goats. I sure wish Owen could have been there...he would have loved it. By the way Owen, we miss you!!! But the 3 other members of our family sure enjoyed our adventure. These goats are SO friendly, as you can see. Also, please notice the pregnant goat. She looks slightly uncomfortable if you ask me. Hope you all are enjoying your three day weekend!

Greeting cards...

My mother in law asked if I would make a greeting card for her to print, and true to my form, I kinda went overboard with the idea. So I thought, why not share it with all of you? I made them the size of a quarter of an 8.5x11 sheet. That way you can just print, cut the sheet in half, fold it over, and there you have a nice little card to send to a special friend. Here, help yourself:

Added just for you, Al:

And just for fun:

Ten on Ten: February...

Today happened to be Bible Study day. Some of these were taken on our trek there. The rest are, once again, just a peek at everyday life on the Bluff.

P.S. I'm cutting this off and posting it at nap time because this evening I am going to town by myself to finish my Valentine's Day shopping! I figured a picture of me by myself in town wouldn't be too interesting.
