Four!!!

This year we celebrated Silas' birthday in Seattle.  He had said for quite a while that he wanted to have a pinata party but a few weeks before his birthday he changed his mind and decided he wanted to go to Seattle instead.  So, we obliged.  We packed up the pinata, some cupcakes, and a few presents and headed to my parents' house.  And although it wasn't a very big hoopla, I think Silas was perfectly content with the celebration (and so were we).  Owen and Silas got to bust open the pinata by themselves without a blindfold (which was actually quite nice and not nearly as chaotic as pinatas tend to be) and we then headed downtown to ride the Seattle Great Wheel.  We finished up with dinner at Red Robin, which has become a tradition on this little guy's birthday.  Silas, my dear boy, you bring so much joy and laughter to our lives!  I love you beyond words and can not wait to watch you become a BIG brother.  You are going to be great at it, I have no doubt!  Happy Fourth Birthday Kiddo!

A Very Merry Christmas Indeed...

I'm pretty sure this is as cute as they come...

So my cousin and his absolutely darling family stopped by for a while yesterday to celebrate Christmas Eve with us.  And although there are a few shots of them in with the Christmas photos, these kiddos are just so doggone cute I thought they deserved their own blog post.  I mean seriously, could they be any more adorable?

Let the festivities begin...

Today we kicked off the Christmas festivities with the annual St. H Christmas.  My amazing mother in law hosted, and we were blessed to have the whole family in town.  C.J. and I were talking on the way home that we are so fortunate to have so much family around (although Cam is currently living in Florida and he still managed to come!)  It was such a treat to get to spend the day with the people we love, eating the food we love, celebrating the birth of the Savior we love!
