Last night...

So here's the scene:

It's 2:30 a.m. last night. Owen walks into our room and says, "Mama, please get in" (which really means "can I please sleep with you?"). So, I lift him up over me and as I am laying him down on the pillow he bonks his head on the bed frame. He cries a bit, I kiss it, tell him it's going to be o.k., etc. About 10 minutes later I realize he is still wide awake.

Owen: Mama, please pray.
Me: Dear Jesus, thank you for Owen. Thank you that we got to play with Hudson and Tucker today...
Owen interrupts: No, no. Please pray my head.

Let me just tell you people, if hearing your 2 year old who is hardly even coherent in the middle of the night ask you to pray for his bonked head doesn't make you melt, I don't know what will. I love that kid!
