I've had a break through and I'm SOOO excited about it...
For quite a while now I have been in search of some really good audio books for Owen. However, even after my endless hours of searching, I haven't been able to find many good ones...either they are really boring or way too expensive. All I want are a few good stories for Owen to listen to in the car that keep him entertained and have different voices for the characters that make the book exciting. Well.....I FINALLY found the solution: iTunes. Yes, people, go there. I didn't even know they had audio stories until tonight but was pumped when I discovered them. For a mere $10 I was able to create a cd for Owen that is over an hour long and has 9 different classic stories, all of which I previewed to make sure they were good and entertaining. And let me just say, paying $.99 for each 8-10 minute story is WAY better than the $16.99 you would pay for them individually at Border's. Plus, I got to pick and choose which stories I wanted to include...and the options were endless! So, Owen's first iTunes audio book includes Goldilocks, The Ginderbread Man, The Little Red Hen, Horton Hatches the Egg, Curious George Rides a Bike, etc. Pretty good stories if you ask me. Anyhow, I just wanted to share this little tidbit for any of you moms out there who also might enjoy a good audio book for your child. iTunes, check it out. You'll want to create your own, guaranteed! Happy audio book hunting!

Thanks for the info, I never thought of downloading audio books. I know my boys would love the curious george stories. Thanks for coming in to town today. It was great to see you and I hope we didn't tire you out to bad. Thanks again Jen.
Seriously, you did NOT preview the Three Billy Goats Gruff! He says something about poking someone's eyes through their ears!?!?!?! Is that how the original story goes???
Al, you can't preview the WHOLE thing on itunes....just like a minute of it. But yeah, I did manage to miss that part before I added the story. Just what our boys need...more ideas for violence!
